visual basic error in excel

One of our users is getting an error stating "error accessing the registry"
when trying to open an excel document. The error is generated by visual
basic. Any ideas on how to resolve this? She can access the file after she
clicks on OK to acknowledge the error, but the error comes up everytime she
opens up an excel file. Thanks.

I spoke with someone that informed me the user's profile had been corrupted.
So I renamed the user's old (roaming) profile and created a new one and the
problem went away.
