Vista x Delphi 2006

Hi,

I have installed Windows Vista final on my computer and now I can't get
Delphi 2006 Architect to run. It says it has a known issue with this
application. It was a fresh install of Vista (no upgrade from XP) and I have
already installed .Net Framework 1.1 SDK. When I try to launch D2006, it
loads all its packages (starts .Net services and loads Rave successfully)
and then I see an error message like this:

Any idea of what this problem is?

Hi,

What do the vendors of the application have to say? It's up to them to make
their application and its installer Vista compatible. At a guess I'd say
that it uses device drivers, and the vendor has yet to release or create
ones for Vista (especially if you're running x64). Quite often, software
makers will lag behind in this, preferring to wait until an OS has been out
for a while, or only include support for a new OS in a new version of their
program (forcing the user to purchase the upgrade in order to get the
desired compatibility). But again, your first checkpoint is the software
vendor.
