Vista with Outlook 2002 will not delete the message on the Pop3 se

I am using Vista Home Basic 2006 and Office 2002. My e-mail comes by way of
an external Pop3 server. My issue is that when I do a send/receive in
Outlook, I'll receive the same messages that I had already received and
deleted. The only way to stop this is to sign on to the Pop3 server outside
of Outlook and delete the messages there. This was not an issue until I went
to Vista. Any ideas ?

The thing is Outlook 2002 is not certified to run on Windows Vista and there
are well known problems associated with it running on Vista. My only
recommendation would be to ensure that Service Pack 3 for Office XP is
installed in addition to the latest updates.

Otherwise, purchase a more recent release of Outlook such as versions 2007
or 2003 (with SP3) which work well on Vista.

Click:
Tools
Accounts
Highlight your email account
Hit properties\
Click the advanced tab and make sure "leave acopy of message on server" is
not checked in WM or in Outlook
Just like Outlook Express and Outlook, Outlook will detect your mail
settings in OE or WM and import the account.

I would just pick one email client to use for your mail. Delete your email
settings out of one or the other program
