Hi all,

Anyway having any troubles with Vista Patches / updates in the last few
days?
Vista would no fully boot, it would get to the point just before log in
screen would show. I ran Safe mode and tried a windows restore, didn't fix
problem, used the repair option off Vista DVD and it found a error in a
patch although did not say which one and attempted to repair it, still
didn't work, so I did a fresh install of Vista and guess what once it ran
and did the automatic updates ( with no other software installed) same
problem occurred, so I did another fresh install this time turning off
automatic updates and now it's fine. I'm going to report this to MS not
good, 5 years in development and we get this.
I don't dare run Updates until I find out what is going on.

Post reply or email me back if you have had a similar problem and know how
to fix it.

Cheers
Phil

Yes now that would help wouldn't it.

Dell Dimension 9150 with Intel Duel Core (64bit ) CPU's 3.2 ghz, 250gb sata
HD, 4gb dram memory
Nvidia GE force 8800 GTX Video card.

Same problem occurred this arvo, but this time I was able to do a system
restore from safe mode, only software it change was MS Flight Simulator X
So I'm stumped why that would be a problem.

Thanks
Phil
