Vista Ulimate upgrades problems

Hi posting this again as I don't think it went through okay.

Anyway having any troubles with Vista Patches / updates in the last few
days?
Vista would no fully boot, it would get to the point just before log in
screen would show. I ran Safe mode and tried a windows restore, didn't fix
problem, used the repair option off Vista DVD and it found a error in a
patch although did not say which one and attempted to repair it, still
didn't work, so I did a fresh install of Vista and guess what once it ran
and did the automatic updates ( with no other software installed) same
problem occurred, so I did another fresh install this time turning off
automatic updates and now it's fine. I'm going to report this to MS not
good, 5 years in development and we get this.
I don't dare run Updates until I find out what is going on.

Post reply or email me back if you have had a similar problem and know how
to fix it.

Hi There, I don't normally reply, but might I suggest you download but do not
install updates and view the availible updates to see if there is any
driver\hardware updates included and un tick those. Also I've heard, but have
not had this problem myself that KB931573 has caused some trouble. In my
experience, especially with no additional software installed that it is
hardware related problem. You might also try a BIOS update if one is
availible for you. Good Luck
