Vista Ultimate 64 & Bluetooth

Hi,

Has anyone got a USB Bluetooth adapter working with Vista Ultimate 64? If
so which adapter and with which driver versions? I've tried with 2 x Belkin
adapters (who now tell me that they have no Vista 64 bit drivers) and a
Kensington adapter. When trying to install this adapter I go the the
Broadcom site at teh following page:

http://www.broadcom.com/products/bluetooth_update.php

and hit Download. I get what I believe to be a 395kB installation file that
does absolutely nothing when I click run except dissapear from the screen.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

I'm using an MSI Star key USB Bluetooth adapter which installs as "Broadcom
Bluetooth 2.0 EDR USB Dongle", Version 5.1.2535.0 date 24/02/04

Thanks Peter,

I have found a solution that works with my Kensington USB Adapter 2.0. The
solution will undoubtedly work with other adapters. Full details with a
very comprehensive guide and download locations can be found here:

Best of luck for all those frustrated Vista 64 users trying to get their
Bluetooth adapters working.

I can't offer a solution.

I have been busy wasting time with the windows vista hardware compatibility
list. It lists a number of Windows logo-ed dongles but when I ask the
manufacturers (Belkin and D-Link) they say they don't work!

I have a Belkin USB bleutooth dongle
Went to Belkin web site
Support
specify device
download drivers
register device serial number (to go to corect page)
download driver for Vista (only one version correct)
If I recall correctly I had to insert dongle first (trying to install driver
without reports that no device is present)
follow installation prompts and reboot.

Worked for me on Vista Ultimate x64
