Vista tells me I am not connected

Dual boot WinXp/VistaU RC2 on the vista side only keeps telling me I am not
connected, "retry" confirms not connected, yet when I "ignore" the message,
I am connected. I have tried to re-establish connection, it then tells me I
am already connected. What the Heck!!!
