I recently installed a Vist update (I believe it was SP1). Now my
internet connection is usually VERY slow or other times non-existant.
Is this an SP1 problem?

Thanks... Bob

Dunno - try uninstalling it and see.....

Hi,

Obviously that's not normal. Have you tried downloading and installing the
most recent driver files for your network adapter from the manufacturer?
That would certainly be the first step.

Thanks. I'll explore other possible causes.

Bob:

Also try this:

- start a command window
- at the command prompt type "tracert www.cox.net"

Don't type the quotes.

Post the results. That will help ID whether the slow down is on your
system or on the network.
