Windows Vista vista service pack 1

downloaded and installed vista service pack 1..I have been all around my pooter and there seems to be no difference at all...Can anyone please tell me what the point of it is...I like to keep up to date, but I have no idea what purpose it has served

Most of the changes are under the hood, fixing lots of little security holes and bugs in one big patch. There are a few larger changes though, such as faster network transfer speeds
