Vista sees -R DVDs as RW

Hi, any one had this problem? I put a DVD -R dvd in the writer to backup
some files and Vista told me it was a RWable and wanted to format the disc
first....OOps!

I have had this issue in XP, 2000 and Visa there is littel consistency in
reading and writing discs with these multi-capable drives. It really seems
to be a hit or a miss! Maybe blu-ray adn HDD will sort it all out (NOT) it
will possibly get worse. I buy packs fo four CD's or DVD's for a£! in
TESCO, they read write and everything whatever they are recognised as.
