Hi,

I have a small problem with creating a mapped drive to my NAS (MyBook). I have fixed the i.p. address on my wireless ADSL model for the WE MyBook (it's hard wired into the hub). I can map a drive to it without issue - but I am defining a username and password under the "Connect using a different username" option and ticking the "Reconnect at logon" box - idea is to ensure whenever laptop is rebooted it'll automatically connect to the mapped drive.

However - it's failing to do this. Issus is simply that it's adding a '\' before the username for the connection, even though I didn't put a '\' in there when I set access username and password! Cheers! Or course if I remove said character, it connects no problem.

So - is this a Vista issue? Or a generic issue and I'm doing something wrong when defining my mapped drive config? I have little doubt it's a user error, but how do I fix it?!

Hi,

OK - the issue is more of Vista not keeping the Password more than anything. The drive fails to remap at bootup, when I click on the drive the admin username is there - but the password field has been whipped.

Hmmmmmm........Google me up on this I think!
