Vista IE 7 freezes at Validation Required

Hi,

I have a Legit version of Vista and yet I ALWAYS get the 'validation'
required whenever I try to download something from MS.

I have installed all the Updates so I have the latest Genunine tool etc.

When I click 'validation required' IE freezes for about 10 Minutes before I
finally get the "download" screen.

Why Does it take so long to Validate? What is up with MS.

I tried running the diagnostics and it passes with all right away. But when I try to actually validate, it takes approx. 3-4 minutes and 50% of the time Internet Explorer will crash; and the other 50% of the time it will go through after 5-6 minutes and finally validate. What gives?
