Vista Home Premioum and AIM Video

I ourchased a new HP laptop with built in Web Cam, microphone etc. I cannot
get the web cam to transmit when using AIM. The computer continually tells
me there is another device using the web cam, however, there isn't anything
running. Anyone know the solution to this? hP and AIM say it's a Vista
security issue

I am having the same issue -- using AIM and built in camera -- it will
receive video image but will not let my camera turn on, although the mic and
sound is transmitted. The fix I was told to try -- go to control panel - --
scanner and cameras-- and then add device, CRASHED the laptop -- blue screen
of death. I had to restore the hard drive!! I called Sony and they said it
was a vista compat problems and I should use aim 5.9, however that version
does not support web cam sessions. ANY SOLUTIONS?
