HP Thiin Client 5710 web can installation

Problem with web cam installation on HP 5710 thin client

Hi,
I have a hp 5710 thin client with XPe with 512MB flash memory.
I want to install a web cam and have done the following:
  1. Installed the latest version of the XPe with sp2 image Image version 5.1.336
  2. The BIOS is the latest one version 786R2v1.02
  3. Installed Dirextx 9.0c
  4. Installed the scanner & webcam support add-on from the hp site
  5. Installed drivers for my web cam ( Umax PC 2000) driver ver 211.7.611.7 provider VM
  6. The ATI Radeon 7000 drives indicate no problem ( driver ver 6.14.10.6414 from ATI technologies)
  7. The dxdiag shows no problem
When i start the amcap to test the webcam there is no display of the web cam video stream. There is no error message.

The following codecs are displayed in video codecs properties in device manager
iccvid.dll, iyuv_32.dll,msh263.drv,msrle32.dll,msvidc32.dll,msyuv.dll,tsbyuv.dll


Can anyone suggest a solution?
