I think I might have a virusa but am not sure. McAfee
does not detect anything. The symptoms start with:
First I get a message that says I have a MS04-011
vulnerability and that I should go to Microsoft.com to
down load the patch and closes with the fact that the
window is by SkyNet.
Then a whole bunch of things happen.
The turn off computer window has Switch user and Logoff
not any oof the normal choises.
When I click on an exe file it will either not work at
all or a window pops up saying I do not have enough quota
or it asks if I want to create a short cut.
Once a window just poped up out of nowhere and said I did
not have enough virtual memory and it was going to take
care of it for me.
Restarting the computer solves these problems until the
MS04-011 vulnerability window pops up again.
Running Windows XP networked to a Windows 98 SE comp.
I have already updated from the microsoft website all the
way and should not have a MS04-011 vulnerability.
Can anyone help me?

1) Use a Firewall - either XP built-in or other,
2) Keep anti-virus software updated and USE it,
3) Get anti-spyware software (see below) and USE it,
4) Do ALL Windows Critical Updates

SpyBot - free !

AdAware - has free version !
