virus

one day my Musicmatch for my dell dj stopped working as well as my ability to
upload pictures from my digital camera onto my cpu. also, i cannot uninstall
musicmatch nor reinstall it. i had accidently clicked the link that went
around AIM, but i did an "AIMfix" program thing that said it wiped out
potential virus code. i have also received some popups from my virus
detector about "alwaytrojan" or something but when i search my cpu for it
nothing shows up. it's really starting to frustrate me b/c i can't use some
programs. any suggestions?

I do not usualy give advice on all things XP as I don't consider myself
knowledgeable enough and yours may be far greater but here goes
Your question doesn't give enough detail, I assume you have upto date
anti-virus and anti spyware,if not install.

Then go to www.emsisoft .com,( a-square ), download their free A2 trojan
scan,
( left hand side), run and remove anything.

Then go to irsoftware.org and download there 30 day scan & remover and run
it just to act as a double whamy.

Then go to rickrodgers.org and follow his advice on starting in safe mode
and trojan removal making sure you first turn off system restore.

You may or may not have to re-install Music-Match
