We have five servers in our company, a DC, Exchange, Backup, File and Print
servers. We have recently purchased the Norton Corporate Anti-Virus software
which installs a server on a machine and controlls the others by installing
clients on other machines. I would like to install the server software on one
of these 5 servers. Could anybody give me a suggestion as to the best place
to install the server software. Would the Exchange server be a good place or
do you suggest other servers. Thanks

Do not install a file level antivirus on a Microsoft Exchange server unless
you plan on excluding all of the directories that contain the Exchange
binaries, databases, and log files. The reason that I say this is that if a
file level antivirus product quarantines (or deletes) any file that is part
of Exchange, the services will go offline and make ruin your day.)

I would probably lean toward the Backup or File and Print server.

I would not put it on the Exchange server. If I had to choose, I'd pick the
backup server or the file and print server.
