virus or hardware problem

Im using windows XP but can't pass user icons. Comp wants to reboot/start
afterEnter but screen starts to shake slow at first but increaces in speed
till it is unleadgable and finally screen gets black. Is this due to virus
or faulty hardware.
 
More likely a virus than a hardware issue. Try booting in safe-mode (press
F8 before WinXP boot screen appears) and if it does the same thing it might
be a hardaware issue.
