Sorry. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It appears
your question is not related to that database. You are much more likely to
find someone with the answer if you post your question to a newsgroup
devoted to your subject.

Also be sure to tell them all you can including the operating system and
version, like Windows XP Home SP2 (that means Windows operating system XP
version Home edition with Service Pack 2 update.) Tell them all you know
about the virus, start by telling them why you think you have a virus and
exactly what you have already done to get rid of it and why you think you
may be getting it back. Also list what security protection measures you
have already taken, like using this or that anti-virus program or firewall
or other protection.

In addition to the good advice you have already received, try
www.symantec.com. They have an on-line scanning service (follow the link
'Symantec Security Check' from their home page) and tools and instructions
for removing many common viruses.

The spammers and script-kiddies have succeeded in making it impossible for
me to use a real e-mail address in public newsgroups. E-mail replies to
this post will be deleted without being read. Any e-mail claiming to be
from brenreyn at indigo dot ie that is not digitally signed by me with a
GlobalSign digital certificate is a forgery and should be deleted without
being read. Follow-up questions should in general be posted to the
newsgroup, but if you have a good reason to send me e-mail, you'll find
a useable e-mail address at the URL above.
