We have theproblem that suddenly the printer starts to print "shit". Could
this be a virus and and which one ?????

Bugbear aka Tanatos did this IIRC but its been around for a while so an up
to date virus scanner should pick it up

Have you tried rebooting the pc and turning off/on the printer. Printers
may have a job interrupted and may miss some special control characters
and end up just printing basically a hex dump of everything sent to it.
