virtual memory

Hi there my comp gives me a message every now and then
saying that the virtual memory is low. What does this
mean????(I know it sounds simple but I just want to
understand it)

You need to increase your virtual memory level. Right click on "My
Computer", click "properties", click "advanced". Under "performance" click
"settings", click "advanced" again, under "virtual memory" click change.
Select "custom size". In the "Initial size" box enter twice the amount of
Ram in your system. Enter the same figure in "Maximum size". Click "set" and
click "ok".
