This error message usually means that something running in the
background is using up all the available memory. Most commonly in
Windows this means malware. So your first step is to make sure the
computer is virus/malware-free. If the machine is clean and you are
still having the problem, then you need to ask yourself The First
Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things worked
and the time they didn't? If you can't pinpoint a change (and reverse
it), then the next step is to do clean-boot troubleshooting.

Standard caveat: If the procedures look too complex - and there is no
shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a
professional computer repair shop (not your local version of

removing malware and even if they are, your computer may be so infested
that Windows will need to be clean-installed. Have all your data backed
