virginmedia do not support outlook, have port numbers but no luck

I have moved to virginmedia, they now tell me that they do not support
outlook only express, as I have always used outlook I do not want to change,
they gave me to pop3 and smtp address and port numbers but they do not appear
to work, still getting emails comming in but cannot send, can anyone help?

The outlook settings are the same as those used for Outlook Express, you
dont need to modify port #
If you run the test accounts option it should generate a err msg if there is
a problem.

SMTP SSL Enabled
SMTP port 465
SMTP authentication Enabled
SMTP username Full e-mail address, e.g., (e-mail address removed)


Receiving mail (POP3)
POP3 server name pop3.virginmedia.com
POP3 SSL Enabled
POP3 port 995
POP3 authentication Enabled
POP3 username Full e-mail address, e.g., (e-mail address removed)

POP3 SPA (Secure Password Authentication) Disabled

Receiving mail (IMAP4)
IMAP4 server name imap.virginmedia.com
IMAP4 SSL Enabled
IMAP4 port 993
IMAP4 authentication Enabled
IMAP4 username Full e-mail address, e.g., (e-mail address removed)

IMAP4 SPA (Secure Password Authentication) Disabled
use the above settings got it to work in microsoft outlook 2007
