I copied a CD with photographs on my Windows XP and sent
it to a friend. They have Windows 98 ad are unable to
view the photos. The photos are .jpeg files. Can onyone
lead me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Windows 98 has better graphic support than XP (the 98 support is also built into XP for compatability but only programmers can access).

You need to troubleshoot it. Something is wrong with their setup.

Go to this site and download the free slide show generator.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
Download the file in a folder, then open the folder and double click on the
file to install it.
Then, when you copy photos using XP, the wizard will ask you if you want to
add this feature or not. Just answer yes and three files will be added to
the CD to make this works.
If you have already made CDs and you want to add this feature, you can't do
this directly. The way to do it is simply copy one more photo to the CD.
During copying, you will be asked if you want to add this feature.
