Viewing Images in Vista Explorer

When I am viewing the contents of a folder on my Vista Home Premium PC, I
can see thumbnails of JPG & GIF images just fine. However, I cannot see
thumbnails of photos shot on my Nikon digital camera (.NEF format). Is there
some way to accomplish that easily?

That file format is a proprietary format for Nikon and not recognized as a
picture file by Windows. Unless there are some drivers to install for the
camera or a way you can change the format there is no easy solution.
