just installed xp professional and everything i open, web
pages or documents open very small. i can change the
view of each, like to largest, but the whole view still
stays only on about half of my screen. it seems
everything displayed is at about half the size as normal,
ive changed font sizes for toolbars and stuff but the
open window items stay small.... please help

Right-click any empty spot on your Desktop and select Properties
Switch to Settings ta
Play with Screen area slider until your get what you want
Most common settings are

800 by 60
an
1024 by 76

drag them to the size you want with your mouse, they will
open to that size the next time.
