Videos from my Digital Camera aren't supported?

Hi all, I've been trying to edit the videos I take with my Kodak EasyShar
CX6445 4 mpx camera, but I can't edit with Windows Movie Maker because it
says that they are not supported file types. I do not understand how to fix
this problem. I have a friend who has the same type of camera and can edit
her videos fine on there.

This is the message I receive when I try to import my video file:
The file C:\Documents and Settings\Rebecca\My Documents\My Pictures\Kodak
Pictures\2006-09-29\100_2103.mov is not a supported file type, and it cannot
be imported into Windows Movie Maker.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I would greatly appreciate any help that I
can get on this!!

Thanks!
Rebecca

Rebecca,

I have the same problem. I tried to modify the video by clicking on
properties and then saving it as WMM but it did not work.

Thank you. I'm still open for suggestions, though. If
anyone cares to give it.

QuickTime .mov files are not compatible
with Movie Maker. Your only option...if you
plan to use Movie Maker for your editing
is to convert the files to a compatible format.

The retail version of Apple QuickTime 7 Pro
has the option to convert .mov files to the .avi
format which is compatible with Movie Maker..

The following article discusses
one possible way to convert .mov
files to a usable format .

Or...you could purchase a program like
the one at the following link which is
compatible with .mov files.
