i have a kodak easyshare digital camera that can take video. the videos are
in quicktime (.MOV) format, so is there an updated movie maker that can
import these files? or is there a way to convert them to a WMV or AVI file?

conversion is the way to go... see my Import Movie Source Files > Video >
MOV page.

I don't just post a link because the page has links to download it, a
tutorial, one of newsletters that goes into it in some depth, and about 7
pointers to other apps that could work.

and because I want new visitors to my site to start at the home page.... to
answer questions before they are asked....

Thanks

can someone tell me where to get a free download/trial version converter FROM
MPEG2 to avi or something else? I have an mpg (mpeg2) video file and was
originally .vro extension. I tried the videocleaner but they dont support
mpeg2.

Ok, I go videocleaner pro and I converted it to avi, but the "free" version
has a limit on the size of file to convert, so since my file is 2.2gb, it
doesnt convert the whole file, only 5 minutes of the 33minute file. Does that
mean I need to pay for the full version to convert my 2.2gb file, or is there
any other freeware that will let me convert my entire file?

the 2.2gb file i have is .mpeg which Im pretty sure if mpeg2, cant tell. but
TMPGEnc wont allow me to use this file, says its unsupported. oh well, guess
I'll never convert this file to edit it. grrr
