Video Play

My Video Play is loading so slow that I don't have time to wait for it to
get done. How can I improve on that situation?
Video is integrated into the motherboard.
My system is a Dell Inspiron 530 S with Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2, 32
bit.
If I should address a different group or forum, please, let me know.
Thanks,

Harry.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Video Play". Do you mean playing videos
online, through Internet Explorer or Firefox? Or do you mean playing a
video saved on your hard drive?

If your PC still has the specs it came with, it only has 2gb of RAM. I'd
think of upgrading it to 4gb... and you still have integrated graphics...
but according to the shopping.com website, you should have a PCI-Express
slot free, so you could get a separate graphics card.

How much free space do you have left on your 500gb hard drive. It sounds a
large one when you first buy it, but it's easy to fill it up, and the less
free space you have, the more your files get fragmented and therefore are
slower to be read.

When did you last run a Disk Defrag?

When did you last run Disk Cleanup?

If you're displaying videos online, through IE or FF, clean up those
Temporary Internet Files!

Yes and I probably should have explained.

Naturally I didn't get to this point yet.

Was thinking of doing just that, upgrade to 4GB.

Have looked into that and they are mighty expensive.

Only 300GB with no free space problems.

I do regular (scheduled) Disk Defrag and recent Disk Cleanups.

No problem with that either.
Thanks very much for your input, Cari.
