Video Display

I have a windows XP Home Edition desktop with Service Pak 2. I connect my
Camcoder to it and when I try to recortd to transfer thew video from tape to
the desktop it doesn't do anything. It works great on my LAPTOP so I
transfer the video from tape to LAPTOP to DVD and iot works great in my
LAPTOP but when I try to play it in the desktop .. It starts RealPlayer Video
appears to upload the movie but the video never starts playing.

Any recommnedtaions?

Is this a digital camcorder and are you connecting the camcorder to the PC
with firewire?
