very high latency using Samsung 244T

I just got a Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" display. Upgraded from a
SyncMaster 730B. There is noticeable latency between the time something
happens and the time it is displayed on the screen.
For example I'll move the mouse and notice that the pointer on the
screen is not perfectly in sync with my movements. As a guess I'd say
it's about 0.05 seconds behind.... it doesn't sound like allot, but
when you need the computer to act as an extension of your own body,
it's really noticeable. I've tried it with a MacBook Pro / Radeon X1600
and a PC with a GeForce 4MX video card and the problem occurs with both
systems, so I'm putting the blame on the display itself. It's otherwise
a really nice display, but this latency is killing my productivity. Any
ideas?

Okay, I did a little research on my own and found that it's just the
way this display is and there's not much that can be done about it. The
phenominon is referred to as "input lag" and affects many of the newer
displays coming out as manufacturers find more things to process at the
display level. I've edited a wikipedia article about the subject with
what I've learned about this:

I'd really like to love my 244T; the image quality is excellent and the
24" is like a mansion, but this input lag is driving me nuts. I'll be
returning this display to Samsung... unless anyone here want to buy it
off me.

Seems image burn-in is also a problem with overdrive LCD displays:

Beware of overdrive.
