Hi,

Can someone tell me how to get hold of this version?
I suffer the same problem many others do of being asked twice if I
want to stream a download to Ms Excel or Word.

People with the version of IE mentioned in the subject line do not
appear to have this problem - but I cannot find anywhere on the
Microsoft site that will lead me to this version, or even a kb article
saying it is acknowledged and/or fixed in a particular hotfix.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Install the critical updates it offers you.

I can't do that. I am in a locked down corporate desktop environment.
The only way for me to get the update is to tell the powers that be to
get a specific hotfix or point them to a specific kb article, then
they will download, test to death and eventually release to
me...there's no way they will just install _all_ updates to IE
