IE Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 problem

Some users are facing problem accessing our intranet site.
They have XP system with IE version
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633.

Problem 1 :
The page is not loading fully. I am calling a function on
page load, that's not being called. But when I refresh the
page loads properly.

Problem 2:
When I click on the hyperlinks it is opening page in new
window and it is creating a problem. Since I am calling a
method on click of hyperlink the method is not available
in the new window and it is giving an error.

Currently 1000+ users with use this application
OS windows 98, NT, 2000 & XP and IE 5.0 onwards nobody has
faced this problem so far. Only few users with the above
IE version are facing problem.

Does any body faced this sort of problem?

I am opening an Excel spreadsheet from a hyperlink and it is opening it in IE and not Excel. We recently upgraded to Windows 2000 and all programs are Windows 2000. The IE version is 6.0.2800.1106CO with SP1. The hyperlink is on a webpage created in Word 2000. IE will open all Word or Excel Docs in IE window if I open these docs from the Hyperlink page and not the respective program. Not sure is this is smoething I can change, but I would like to. Any ideas
