I think you already have SP2 for IE6 - (sp2.030422-1633)
My understanding of this is -
the latest update offered for IE6 is KB939653 - this
includes all previously released patches and eliminates newly discovered
vulnerabilities. More details can be found in the Microsoft support document
KB931768. Microsoft advises all users to download and install this update to
protect your system against security threats.
A cumulative update means that all previous bug fixes have been included in
the same package, so there is no need to worry about which update may
already be on your system.
Released October 2007 in the Black Tuesday updates.

If the IE is already in SP2, then why the Update Version still show SP1? Some
PC which had install XP SP2 display IE Update Version SP2, some display IE
Update Version SP1. May I know what is the difference?

Naming convention confusions. WinXP SP2 includes a customized version of
IE6 SP1 which /some/ call IE6 SP2. This version is only available by
installing WinXP SP2.

Thanks for the reply.
There are some PC display IE update version: SP1; Q823353.
May I know what Q823353 is about? I cannot find the fix list for Q823353
from internet which is related to IE.

There are some PC display IE update version: SP1; Q823353.

And what Windows versions are these machine, please? If they're WinXP
machines, they've not had any critical updates installed in years;
furthermore, it tells us it's WinXP SP1 which is no longer supported.

Q823353 tells us that MS04-018
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-018.mspx;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823353) is installed. The absence of
anything other than "SP1; Q823353" tells us that no other post-SP1 critical
updates are installed, including WinXP SP2.
