IE hangs opening new page or link, killing process fixes

Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106 xpsp2.030422-1633

Hangs when opening some links or new window, ending
the process (above 20 mb usually) works, unfreezes.

(win xp, 512 mb ram)

Found this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816769/en-us

But "Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows XP or Windows
2000 service pack that contains this fix"


Does anybody have a solution?
Should I try the hotfix?

Why not try the service pack (XPsp2?)
