vb5 on xp pro

when i try to load some software i get this message,you
cannot install this vb5 application without the latest
service pack first being installed onto this
computer.please install the lastest service pack and
rerun this installation.
i have allready installed sp1.what can i do?
 
VB5 was out before XP. The installer detects you have a NT OS (WinNT, Win2k
and WinXP are all NT OS's) so it expects to find most likely NT SP5 or SP6.
So, I suggest coping the whole CD or Diskette to the hard drive, and run the
install or setup program in Compatibility Mode and select WinNT SP5.
