I am trying to re-install a program for a company that
has gone out of business. The original time i installed
the program i do not remember running into this same
problem (if i did they helped me through it and it is the
only thing i did not write down....figures!)
anyhow.....upon starting the installation the Wise
installation wizard pops up and starts.....then
" You cannot install this VB5 application without the
latest service pack first being installed on this
computer. Please install the latest NT service pack and
rerun this installation.
I am afraid to install a NT service pack on the xp
operating system, next i have installed all three...
MSVBVM50 VB 5.0 files
VBRun60 VB 6.0 files
VB4Run VB 4.0 files
on my computer, but still get the same error message.
I am sure i have the necessary files for this
application....but do i?
Is there a way aroung this error message or do i really
not have the required files?
P.S. I have rebooted the computer after installation of
each of the above VB run programs/files.
Thanks for your help...
