Vanishing Network

I had 2 pcs and a laptop on a network going through a linsys router using
Win98SE. They all worked fine. I never had any problems.
I sold the laptop and bought a new one with WinXPpro. I ran the network
wizard on the laptop and now I have problems. The laptop recognizes the 2
pcs and lets me have access to both pcs, but pc 1 sees pc 2 but won't let me
access it, pc 1 does not see the laptop, pc 2 sees the laptop and lets me
access it, pc 2 does not see pc 1.

I have tried removing the network from each pc and reinstalling, but it
doesn't help.

Please help me.

Thanks Ron

I am having similar problems with home networking. Sometimes my network is
up sometimes it is down. One of my pcs is Win XP Pro, the other Win 2000
Pro.
When the network is up, the Win2000 machine cannot access the Win XP
machine, though I can ping between both machines and "net view" command sees
either machine as well. If I want to exchange files (while the network is
up--keeping my fingers crossed) I have to sit at the Win XP Pro machine and
manage files using Explorer there. It seems that the Win 2000 machine is not
authenticating properly so it can see files but not be able to access them.
For example, I can't create a folder from the Win2000 machine on the WinXP
machine. This is a major nuisance.

What can I do? And what to do about your problem as well?
