Vaio unable to wake from stand-by

My Sony Vaio FX 215 has a sleeping beauty complex. It is
unable to wake up properly from stand-by. Things whirr and
grind, the optical mouse flashes, but the screen remains
blank. Any ideas? (any kissing enchanted princes who want
to wrap their lips around this prblem?)

my custom pc goes on the same behaviour like ur vaio
considering that win98 on the same pc has no problem
waking up from standing by this may help someone to help
us find the reason behind this beehaviour
