Using Outlook without Exchange

K

Outlook 2003 SBE on my laptop.
Now retired. When working, was connected @work through network, & @home
through DSL. I received mail in Outlook from both my Exchange account, as
well as Yahoo mail provided by DSL ISP. Also occasionally worked with
Outlook offline.

Now that I'm no longer connected to Exchange, I still have offline use of
data as of last cutoff, but nothing new comes in from Yahoo mail and I can't
send mail.

The basic question is ... Can I still use Outlook as my mail/calendar/tasks
client, but connected to my AT&T Yahoo acount instead of Exchange? If so
can someone tell me what I need to do to make it happen?

I'm also unable to sync my PDA (Treo w/ Palm OS) to Outlook because of the
following message:

(Please set the option "Enable Synchronization when Outlook is offline" in
UI inorder to synchronize in Offline mode").

I can't find that option in either the Palm of Outlook setup/options
documentation.

Any help will be appreciated.

first thing I would do is move all the data from the exchange mailbox that
you want to keep - move it to a new pst or use Export. Then you can remove
exchange from your profile and set yahoo to be the default then set outlook
online.
