Using FP 2003 to adjust Sharepoint site

I'm using FP 2003 to make some adjustments to a Sharepoint site that has been
set up for us by another company. I'm having problems making changes without
effecting the "Add Web Parts" piece on the sharepoint site. Any suggestions?
Also, how much can I adjust on the site without being a little leary about
messing things up on the existing Sharepoint site that was assigned to us?

Thanks

I think I just saw a post in the sharepoint.windowsservices newsgroup that
suggested you could/should Notepad or another HTML editor for this.

I've been using FP 2003 to design/edit my SharePoint web site without any
problems for eight or nine months now. I'm not sure just what type of
editing you are doing but I've done some fairly extensive work with my
SharePoint web and have not had any problems with it. My SharePoint web is
on a Windows Small Business Server and I read somewhere that FP 2003 is very
compatible with SharePoint webs for editing and designing.
