Hi,
This is a bit confusing but I will try to be clear. I have to type
questions exactly as they appear from a textbook for a class. Some of the
question are normal fill in the blank but others are two columns total one
column next to the other of matching. Everytime I need to type a matching
question with two columns and I select columns and "this point forward" it
always starts a new page. Is there a way to not have it do this so I can
have one question of matching with columns followed by another without
columns then followed by one with two columns all on one page? I am sure
this is confusing if I can clarify I will. Thanks for any help you could
give me.

You probably need a 2 column borderless table for this type of layout, but
for columns, select the text that you want in columns and click two columns
from the page layout tab.
