using an adapter, no battery

i was wondering if it is safe to take out my laptop battery and only use the
adapter all the time.
Please answer my question!!

It's safe, but some models won't run without the battery in place.

Plus any kind of power outage to the machine will be unpleasant without a
battery installed.
