using a second language, infrequently

To Assistance Person:
I have a HP (pavillion 734c), my wife is Brazilian and AT
TIMES, write letters using wordpad and at times email in
Brazilian Portuguese. I have the second language in my
system.
My problem is how to go back in forth between the two
languages....or is it even possible?
I close thanking you for any and all assistance or
direction you see to assist me with.

Do you see the Language bar somewhere on your taskbar or desktop?

If not, open Control Panel \ Regional and Language Options. Switch to the
"Languages" tab, click the Details button, and click the "Language Bar ..."
button.
