Users/Groups transfer from NT to 2000

I have prepared a Windows2000 server, and I want to
transfer all existing users/groups from windows NT machine
to this new 2000 server machine.

NOTE: I cant upgrade the NT machine b/c it is in
production and I need to prepare this new 2000 machine as
backup of the existing NT machine, so how can I get all
the users from the old NT machine.

I would be very thankful if anyone can help me out in this.

from Microsoft to do this operation.
