NT to 2000 advice

I have a two domain NT network.
1. I want to add a 2000 server that will be the DC for a third domain.
That will need to have a trust with the other two domains.

2. I want to upgrade my NT boxes to 2000 - and I really don't want to
reinstall all the various software.

Q. Have you found the NT to 2000 upgrade without reinstalling ok?

Q. Thoughts on adding a 2000 server to an existing NT domain as a DC?
