Usernames and passwords

Now I have a web site that I am using a username and
password on it. I would like to add a second site with
username and password requirement. But I was wondering if
there was a way so that certain people could access both
sites while others can only access one of the sites. Is
this possible?
 
Add the same user ID / password to the subwebs you want commonly viewed, and a unique one for the ones you don't want commonly
viewed
