User switching

Hello
I am having problems getting user switching (logoff--

switch users)to run. I have followed the miocrosoft web

site for enabling user switching (ie Start-->control
panel-->user accounts-->change the way users log on or
off-->check use the welcome screen and check use fast usr
switching)
When I try to swithc accounts, (Start-->logoff-->switch
users) and click another user, it loads me right back to
my desktop, and not the users I clicked?

I have even looked in the registry for the key mentioed
in the http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;EN-US;302346 article and it is not there.

Please help, this is annoying having to completely log
off every time the kids want to use the computer while I
am working.

Have you ever logged into XP using the other account? Do you have XP to auto
login your account or do you choose which account you log in with?

I have it set to ask who to log in as at start.
example: When you boot the computer, it displays all four
user names. You can click any user name and it will go to
their desktop then while there, if you click log off,
switch users, it goes to the log on screen with the four
accounts correctly. However, if you now choose another
account, it just blinks for a sec, then takes you to the
same desktop you just logged off of?
This is the same no matter which account you are logged
into.
