User switching error

Get his error message when I go to change the way users log on or off in
windows xp pro.

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested class"

I get the options up after this and I can click on Use fast user switching,
but I dont think its working because when I click switch user it goes back
to the welcome screen. Is it supposed to do this ?

Does anyone know why this error is occuring and how I can fix it ?

Any help appreciated.
