user rights - printers

OK, this will sound like a strange one... a power user can add tcpip
printer ports (and attach existing printers to such a port), a
standard user cannot. without elevating a standard user to power user
rights, does anyone know which files and registry keys I would need to
relax rights on in order to allow this?

that is the question, the reason is slightly complex.. this is
actually for terminal services clients on Citrix - we want to run some
code under the user credentials to create a printer port and attach an
existing printer to that port, so as to print direct rather than
printing via the client.

Your code can use the "RunAs" feature.

start/run, type:
HH mk:mad:MSITStore:%windir%\Help\ntcmds.chm::/runas.htm
